This letter is in response to the change in regulations for vacation-home rentals in the city of South Lake Tahoe. I am in favor of any ordinance that restricts loud parties or other nuisances that might affect our neighbors.

Paso Robles hoteliers received a go-ahead from the City Council to begin the process of forming a tourism business improvement district. If approved later this year, a 2 percent levy will be placed on the gross receipts from all hotel and motel rooms in the city, with collections to begin in February.
