We are located at mile 68 of the Denali Highway, directly between Cantwell and Paxson Alaska. This is in between the headwaters of the Susitna River and the Maclaren River, and the lodge is in the Clearwater Mountains. From the lodge, you will have views of many lakes, and hundreds of square miles of Alaska. Alpine Creek, which flows right past the lodge, is an artesian creek with some of the best water you've ever tasted.
The lodge is located near many ATV trail heads. The abandoned Valdez mine is a short ride way, and offers a historical look at the turn of the century town of Denali.
There are many hiking trails and the Arctic Grayling fishing is some of the best in Alaska.

Alpine Creek Lodge is in the heart of the Alaska Range on the Denali Highway. This is a very unique property, and a new lodge. The nearest town (2 gas stations!) is over 70 miles away! No neighbors for 26 miles. The lodge sits on the South Facing slopes at the foot of a long since receded glacier. Alpine Creek is spring fed and runs year round. We are open year round, and in the winter the Denali Highway is not plowed.
Traveling into the lodge in winter via snowmobile is amazing! The Aurora Borealis is seen on most clear winter nights, and is an unforgettable experience. The rental can include anything you would like to do, to include fully guided fishing, hunting, ATV and snowmobile tours. You tell us what you would like and we'll make it happen.
We have suite rooms variable for $199 a night for two and $25.00 for each additional person. Each suite has a queen bed in them and we can add cots for extra people. We do offer the ability to rent out the entire lodge, including all the toys that go along with that. Give us a call for other options and rates.

Area Description: Winter at the lodge is amazing! Aurora Borealis viewing, snow machining, relaxing around the barrel stove, and just getting away from the hustle and bustle of the world! We have it all.
The ride in from Cantwell or Paxson is 67 miles! The unplowed Denali Highway is your trail, and it's a great ride in! We can also arrange for you to rent snow machines from a local dealer. We'll get the machines to Cantwell or Paxson for you.
Please be careful while riding the Denali Highway. This is where many dog mushers do their training in preparation for the Iditarod. Watch for them, and if you see them, please pull your machine to the side and shut off the motor. At night you will see a small light the mushers wear on their heads. Watching a team go by, with the aurora out, on a clear night is something that has to be seen to be appreciated!
