Relax on the oceanfront deck after biking , hiking or kayaking while the kids play on the beach 10 feet away. Interesting beach with lots of sealife and driftwood. Great for building forts and rafts. You never have to leave, you can spend hours exploring the beach or watching boats, whales, orcas, seals or eagles from your chair on the deck. Located on quiet road with very little traffic.SERVICES
Nearby grocery stores, liquor stores, restaurants, pharmacy, kayak rentals, bike rentals, fishing charters.
BEDROOMS
The three bedrooms have 1 Queen, 2 singles and 1 3/4 bed. A separate cabin with a kitchenette and bathroom can be included. A cot is also available.
LIVING AND DINING ROOMS
Both have large windows overlooking the ocean, Coastal Mountains and Islands. Living room has a glass front wood fire place for those cooler evenings or winter vacations.
WINTER
Mount Washington on Vancouver Island is about a 40 minute drive. Ski one day and kayak the next. The closeness to the water makes this location spectacular for watching the great South Easters that blow in the winter.
ACTIVITIES
Quadra Island has been ranked as the second best place in the world to scuba dive by National Geographic Magazine. It also has world class salmon fishing. The island has an extensive network of hiking and mountain biking trails with a trailhead located within a couple hundred metres of the house. The shoreline is perfect for kayaking. Exploring the beach and examining the colourful array of starfish, oysters and other creatures will entertain curious children for hours. For the more relaxed visitor, Quadra offers a wide array of restaurants and art galleries as well as stunning vistas. Snow capped mountains plunge into the Pacific Ocean making for a trip you won't soon forget!
