?MUST DO?S" While in the Osa
The following are activities available that we would recommend. We have personally experienced these and really enjoyed them:
Rainforest treks with Andy Pruter: Andy is an expert on the flora and fauna of the rainforest, as well as a very experienced guide. He offers tree climbing and waterfall repelling in addition to guided hikes though the forests & up streambeds. Take a camera, as, you will likely see amazing wildlife!
Changing Tide Tours: Go out on Gulf Dulce with Captain Charlie Plummer. His tours can include a trip to a wildlife rescue center, Gulf Dulce Snorkeling, and a trip to an Orchid Garden. He offers a sport where one is pulled by ski-rope behind the boat, holding on to a board that, when tilted downward, forces you to swim down under like the dolphins, drifting over the reefs, watching fish all around you as you glide underwater. He is also a Padi Certified dive-master, and offers Scuba tours and instructions.
Deep-Sea fishing with Captain Mike Hennessy: Mike is known as one of the best fishing guides on the Osa. He will take you onto ?Jodari? a tournament rigged Caroline Classic. Equipped with expert fishing gear. Matapalo Sportfising offers offshore and inshore fishing for Sailfish, Tuna, Marlin, Roosterfish, Snapper and many other species.
Our managers can arrange any of these for you. Just email Gretchen to make arrangements, or she can help you arrange any of these after you arrive.
The area also offer zipline tours, guided hiking adventures into Corcovado National Park and many more activities, too numerous to mention.
