You can fish from the bank, but the best way to catch a lot of trout is by going out in a John Boat (a special river boat) with a local guide. There are several guides who conduct bait, spin, and fly-fishing trips on the river, both half-day or full day trips. You can also rent your own John boat and motor at a number of close-by trout docks on the river.
