Located in the quiet, peaceful village of Domeyrot (Creuse) is our newly renovated, 2-double bedroom, 2-bathroom, tri-level village holiday-rental house. Our gite is the perfect base from which to explore the many nearby places of interest.
La Maison Roo is located in the Limousin in central France away from the hustle & bustle amongst rolling country hills and rural surroundings. Very traditional in every way and the character of the house reflects the style and ambience of rural French living. Located in the peaceful small Creuse village of Domeyrot opposite the main X11 Century gothic Church. All possible inclusions are provided in this spacious gite (130m2), which is designed to comfortably cater from 2 to 6 persons. There are 2 large main bedrooms each with own bathroom. The attic bedroom is bright and open with exposed beams, skylights and many original features as well as an en-suite (incl. bath). The central second main bedroom is large with open-fire, large panoramic windows looking out to the Church opposite and further beyond to the surrounding country. A separate shower-room services this level. The ground floor has a most cosy living/dining area with open fire that adjoins a separate fully fitted kitchen. Sat TV (English channels) is available along with board games, books, music and a vast DVD library. An outdoor setting provides for al fresco dining in the front forecourt area. A small portable bar-b-que is also available. Bikes (adults) and a child’s cot etc, can be provided, if required. All quality linen & towels (King size beds, fine Egyptian cotton sheets and Australian wool duvet/doona/quilts) are included as well as final cleaning. The house is designed so that guests from any part of the globe can arrive knowing that all essential comforts have been catered for. They can then simply unpack, unwind, sit-back and relax. We also provide a simple Welcome-Pack of "goodies" to make your arrival more complete, including a bottle of wine, baguettes and a few local delicacies to help you feel settled upon arrival.
We welcome guests from all over the world to share this wonderful, unspoiled, traditional region of the Limousin. The owner is from Canberra, Australia and has made every effort to create a comfortable home-away-from home feel, with loads of added local charm. A nearby (English speaking) caretaker/Manager is available to take care of special needs and help acquaint visitors to the many attractions and nearby places of interest to visit. La Maison Roo is suitable for vacation stays all year-round and is ideal for either touring couples, house-hunters or small family groups wishing to explore this scenic and most relaxed part of France.
