Chrisanns Beach Resort is a tastefully furnished one bedroom loft apartment right on a private beach, just outside the tourist mecca of Ocho Rios on Jamaica's North Coast. The apartment has a balcony that overlooks a large pool and the beach. At night, you can hear the waves of the beach as they lull you to sleep. The apartment has a sleeping loft with a king size bed. Downstairs is a living room and dining area with a large sofa that contains a pull out bed, and a full bathroom. The unit sleeps four comfortably. The apartment is fully air conditioned., and contains a safety deposit box, ironing board and iron. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric stove, no-frost refridgerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, all utensils, crockery and cutlery if you want to prepare a quick breakfast or more elaborate meals. Our housekeeper will also cook for you if you wish. The apartment has free WiFi, cable tv service with a DVD player. You have the option to borrow current DVDs, free of charge, from the front desk. Wireless Internet service is also available around the pool area and in the lobby area.Chrisanns has its own pool and private beach, and lush landscaped gardens, with a gazebo overlooking the horizon for relaxation or intimate dinners.

Just walking distance down the main road is the famous Harmony Hall Art Gallery, featuring a tasteful selection of Jamaican art by the country's best known artists. Ocho Rios has a large variety of restaurants: Italian, Chinese, international, Indian, and Jamaican. Every June, the town hosts a local jazz festival that brings together jazz musicians from across the island.
Ocho Rios is also one of the few resorts where you can get a chance to visit authentic Jamaican towns, such as St. Ann's Bay, the birthplace of Marcus Garvey and Brown's Town, a major market town on the North Coast. St. Ann's Bay is just beside New Seville, the site where Columbus first landed in Jamaica, and you can visit a historical museum and ruins of early Spanish settlements dating back to the 15th century.

Very nice 10 day stay at this charming condo. Apt. was very clean and kept that way by Chrisanns wonderful staff for our entire stay. Everyone was very friendly at Chrisanns as well as at the nice restaurants & grocery store across the street.- Reggae beach was a wonderful treat and well worth the 15 min. walk-lots of room to swim-wonderful coarse sand-never crowded-very friendly staff-nice bar with food- shower, restroom & changing facilities. Ocho Rios has lots of shopping & lots to do though very busy at times. Shaw Park Garden was well worth the visit and wonderful for photos of not just the park, but the wonderful hilltop view of Ochie and the bay as well. Marian sent a very informative e-mail just prior to departure which was helpful in answering questions. If your heart is set to stay in the Ochie area I think you will be pleased with Chrisanns, and especially Marians Apt. # 10 !~!~!

Hi Marian....my husband and I really appreciated and enjoyed our stay in Jamaica in your apartment...the welcome gift basket was a hospitable gesture and your home and art work were quite a lovely reflection of the island - what a great place for a holiday. Getting back into the swing of things has been busy and we're adjusting to the -40 degree weather here - I shut my eyes and see your bright Caribbean apartment in my head - lovely/lovely! Apartment number 10 was beautiful and my family absolutely loved it! The apartment is perfect for a family who just wants a relaxing vacation without too much of the tourist hype. Yet all that Ocho Rios has to offer, Island Village, Mystic Mountain and Dolphin Cove among others is just a short drive away. There is also a supermarket, restaurant and bar directly across the street for your convenience. In addition to the apartment being very comfy (my family did not want to leave) the staff at Chrisann's is fabulous and very accommodating. We had such a relaxing time at Apartment 10 at Chrisanns. The apartment is filled with lovely paintings and art quilts, most of which the owner Marian did herself. It was great being able to rent the Jamaican cell phone which worked out much cheaper than using our cell from home. The beach is calm and very sheltered and the sunrises are to die for, to see the sun's rays on the very calm water. I would take my morning coffee and go down to the beach and watch the sun come up in the mornings over the water.It's really convenient having the restaurants and grocery store across the street, because we could buy breakfast and snack food and keep in the apartment and explore Ocho Rios dining places in the evenings. We took the tour to Bob Marley's birthplace in Nine Miles and that was awesome to drive through the lush countryside. We also took a taxi to Noel Coward's Firefly house and the view of the ocean from there was breathtaking. We went to Reggae Beach next door one evening for the beach party which was great. Chrisanns Beach Resort is situated in a beautiful part of the north coast, not far from Ocho Rios center where transport is easily accessible if you have no desire to drive. The apartment is a beautiful bright and cosy place, perfect for couples who are looking for peace and tranquility. The beach is a plus : calm, quiet and gives the impression that you're alone in the world. Everything is clean and well taken care of. The staff are polite, respectful and friendly. There are lots of beautiful sites around the area like White River where the scenery is just like a postcard. There are 2 restaurants in front of the resort which serves delicious jamaican cuisine and more traditional european dishes if desired. We would recommend this place to all who wish to have a great vacation without stress. We would not hesitate to take this apartment next year if available. Marion's place at Chrisann's was a little bit of paradise. If you want to avoid the big hotels, stay here. You have a pool and the ocean. Great snorkeling right outside your door. It is easy access to Ochos Rios but you are in a very quiet and tranquil location. Restaurants are right across the street or a short ride into town.
