Country house <br /><br />Built in the fields and jurisdiction of the Monastery of Alcobaça, the villagers of Salir de Mattos, according to his letter charter of 1321, renewed in 1514 by D. Manuel I, was subject, among other taxes, to pay the fifth part of all its wine production. It was forbidden the existence of private presses, with only one winery in the village belonging to the monastery, where all the farmers were forced to put their grapes, and where the part was removed belonging to the monastery.
