Area Description: The Kona District stretches about 60 miles along West Hawaii and is divided into North and South Kona. Halemalu is a quick half hour drive south of the Kona International Airport. Kailua-Kona, the bustling, sunny town at the heart of the district, is just a 20-minute drive north of Halemalu. This is home to some hip-shaking nightlife, but also Hulihee Palace and the last royal residence of Kamehameha the Great, Ahuena Heiau—all within sight of each other.
Just below us is Kealakekua Bay where Captain James Cook first set foot on the island in 1778 and where he was killed. The accommodations at Halemalu have been designed to provide the utmost of convenience and comfort for our guests. We have five spacious suites available for your use. Each suite features a living - dining area, a mini refrigerator, a private bath, a master bedroom with a king size bed, and a bedroom study with a full size futon sofa bed. Each suite's living area also has a queen size sofa bed, thus every suite can accommodate up to six guests. Four of the suites feature large open air lanais.
Our guests are welcome to use the Office Center which includes a professional copy machine, a computer workstation with full internet capabilities running Windows XP Pro, and a second workstation area for use of your own computer with connections to the internet and a fax - scanner - printer. Free Wifi internet connection is also available throughout the entire facility including all suites, meeting areas, and even outside!
Feel free to utilize our fully equipped Kitchen Buffet area to prepare light meals for your breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You may even find for your enjoyment some freshly picked fruits that have been grown right here on the grounds of the Halemalu Estate! Private groups have use of the Chef's Quarters and Kitchen for preparation of all meals. Our Dining Lanai can accommodate up to 40 people.
Other amenities include a nicely equipped Exercise Room, a launderette, a large Meeting Hall for up to 50 people, a Lounge area with a HD video/computer system, and access to the 5 acre Botanical Estate.

WOW,, so amazing. I had such a wonderful time in hawaii.. and stayed at Halemalu made it more amazing. I looked forward to breakfast every morning. Suezette made our breakfast enjoyable every morning. fresh fruit, and spreads for our breads and other wonderful food that i wish i could of brought back home to WA state so my family could enjoy it too. We are looking forward to going back and staying here again!!! thank you again eric and suezette.. u guys made us feel like family!! we loved it there each day and looking forward to coming back!!! :)
