The new cottage is located right at the Lake Midway on Digby Neck. Due to this situation you have a great view on to the lake. This lake is one of the few spring water lakes in Nova Scotia and guarantees super clear water and trouble free swimming.
The cottage is tastefully decorated and offers room for 4 persons. You'll find two bedrooms one with a queen sized double bed and one with a big bunk bed and a living room with a kitchenette. It has a small bathroom with shower, toilet and wash-basin. The kitchenette includes self-clean electric ranges with oven and smooth top glass-ceramic cooking surface, micro wave as well as a big fridge. In the living room there is also a dining room table with 4 chairs and a nice woodstove for cooler nights. All double glass windows have a mosquito sash. You find a great sunny deck with a table and 4 chairs.
The lot area is 3.4 acre and has 300 feet of lake frontage. You can reach the cottage via a private road. You can fish or canoe on the lake. You can rent a canoe as well as mountain bikes. We strongly recommend to rent a car while there is no public transport to the cottage. We can offer you a great deal on that.

Something truly amazing is happening in the Bay of Fundy. Here the tides are so extraordinary, they have earned the reputation as a world-renowned natural phenomenon. The highest tides on earth fill the Bay with over one hundred billion tons of seawater. Waters as high as a four-storey building brimming with diverse marine life. Only hours later, you can walk on the seabed at low tide. What makes this ecological wonder so unique is that it happens twice a day, everyday. The Tidal Bay Eco-zone includes the fringe of shoreline surrounding Cobequid Bay and the south edge of the Minas Basin. The highest recorded tides in the world have been measured at the entrance to Cobequid Bay. At Burncoat Head, the tidal range has reached 16.5 meters. At Economy Point, a range of 16.4 meters has been recorded. The in-rushing tide creates tidal bores as it floods up the rivers which drain into the Bay. One of the most popular sites for viewing a tidal bore is on the Salmon River near Truro.
