Description - Highland Lakefront Elegance and Fun
Direct waterfront family compound. The main home is a decorator's hideaway with art, orientals, hundreds of movies, new kitchen, with granite countertops, 5 queen beds total (3 in main home) with foam toppers and down quilts, and 3 twin mattresses, two rollaways..if using both homes. . Chaise lounges over look interior balconies and full two story glass views of the lake. Outside there is a private dock, full length back deck and 2 pedal boats. The cottage has been totally redone with new carpeting, 2 queens, rollaways or sofa bed. Have a family reunion or romantic getaway. The sunsets are fantastic.Canoes and Kayaks can be rented and delivered as well. In town there's a cabaret theater and sports center with miniature golf, go carts, batting cage, video games, laser tag and more. The area is full of arts, and antiques and soft rolling hills.
Small cottage may be available in low season if larger home isn't rented. Call owner for more information and questions. We'd love to share our home. We've had visitors from all over the world and so many friends return.

You are between Boston and New York yet surrounded by natural beauty, arts, and antiquing. Highland Lake is also known for its excellent fishing/ bass tournaments. Fall foliage is vibrant and there's ice fishing and skiing not far away. The home(s) can be used in any season. You create the vacation of your dreams.

the rate above is for both the main home and the smaller cottage. The owner prefers to rent it as a compound during the summer peak season..but options are available. they can be rented separately in the shoulder and off seasons or possibly for weekends. Call to see if there is a time when one is rented...individual possibilities exist. If you would like linens to be provided..call for prices. You can clean it yourself at the end or owner will get rates. Call quickly to reserve your family holiday...summer goes fast.

Burr Pond with rental canoes and additional swimming is less than a mile..many state parks with additional services minutes away.Wagner Theater in Torrington is close and the Outlets in Lee make a short day trip.Norman Rockwell's Stockbridge and The Red Lion Inn are also a great day trip. Antiquing in every direction and little festivals ...design your own vacation or just enjoy the homes and watch hundreds of movies.
