Description - House in quiet area & near beach

It is situated 6 km east of Sanary,in a very quiet area, within walking distance of several sandy beaches, less than 10 minutes' walk to one which is 100 metres away from the road and very secure for small children. It is very safe for children, as there is no through traffic and the only entrance to the village is be the caretaker's house. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one double, one twin with a wash basin. Both open on to the terrace, ideal for sunbathing, with some view of the sea. Downstairs there is a kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, oven, micro-wave oven, coffee-maker, toaster, electric kettle, gas/electric 4 ring stove, a sitting / dining room with TV, CD audio-tape player and DVD player, a bathroom, separate toilets, a shaded patio with dining area, a garden and a garage. In the garage, there is a washing-machine, a deep freeze and a second fridge. Access to internet can be provided.

It is situated at the tip of a peninsula with 18 kms of coastlines, islands coves and numerous sandy beaches. A great surface of the peninsula is covered in forests where paths are open to hikers, horse-riders and mountain-bike riders. There are footpaths to the top of Cap Sici? and Notre Dame du Mai with a beautiful panoramic view from Marseille area to the Iles du Levant, and also footpaths west to Sanary, east to St Mandrier. Numerous paths are opened to cyclists, too. For the fifth year running, the town has been rewarded a 'pavillon bleu' - blue flag - for the cleanliness of its beaches. Thanks to its geographical situation and its micro-climate, the area enjoys sunshine all year round. There is an average of 292 sunny days a year. There are daily, cheap flights - low-cost Ryanair from London Stansted to Toulon airport which is 20 miles to the East.

In the garage, there is a good supply of beach toys and 2 beach chairs. In the writing-desk, guests will find quite a number of novels in English and French, maps and all sorts of documents on the places in the area worth visiting, as well as several games and playing cards against a rainy day. The village has a playground and a petanque court and there is a large choice of shops and restaurants within 5 minutes' drive, as well as 2 supermarkets. There are several beaches within walking distance- less than 10 minutes' walk to one which is about 100 metres away from the road and very secure for children. For people coming from England, there is now a daily, cheap flight - low cost Ryan airlines - from London Stanstead to Toulon airport, 25 kms to the East.

A great surface area of the peninsula where the house stands is covered in forests where paths are open to hikers, horse riders and mountain-bike riders. There are also footpaths winding along the sea, almost the whole length of the peninsula. and numerous cycling paths. There is also a golf course-18 holes- near Bandol, a few miles to the west, and 2 diving schools nearby. For people interested in motor sports, the famous Castellet circuit is 25 kms to the north It is an excellent, peaceful touring base for Nice, Cannes, St Tropez to the East, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Avignon to the West, the cliffs of Verdon Canyon, the Lub?ron to the North. It takes one hour and a half to drive to Nice, under one hour to Marseille and Aix-en-Provence..... .

We are close to the picturesque, unspoilt islands of Port-Cros and Porquerolles and a 10 minutes' boat ride takes you to the Embiez island with its aquarium and its aquascope in which you can discover the undersea world and its inhabitants. You can also take a boat trip from Sanary to the beautiful Callanque de Cassis. Every morning there is a picturesque open-air market in the neighbourhood, at Le Brusc, Sanary or the one in Cours Lafayette -Toulon- which is one of the most typical in Provence
