We are your personal gateway to Kauai's spectacular North Shore beaches and hiking trails. Located just a few miles from Hanalei town, we are across from a sandy swimming beach excellent for snorkeling, and very near to the famous 10-rated Kalalau Trail and Makua (Tunnels) Beach. You can start your hike here, or we will give you a lift and store your gear. Of course, you can also choose to hang out on your lanai or explore the island! <br /> <b>Kalalau Room:</b> In the main house with private entrance and lanai, the Kalalau Room offers a kitchenette with coffee pot, toaster oven, and a small refrigerator. There is also an outdoor gas barbecue grill. All for a reasonable rate in the most beautiful area on Kauai. It has a queen bed and a single futon on the lanai.<br /> <b>The Jungalow:</b> Not quite a bungalow and not in the jungle, but a little bit of both. This is the "little grass shack" you've been looking for. There's a bamboo- enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower, a coffee pot and a barbecue. Delightfully Hawaiian and economical, too. Full bed.<br /> <b>The Cottage:</b> A studio apartment with full kitchen, screened lanai with a peek at the ocean. The lanai features a punee (single bed) for relaxed enjoyment or an extra person and a table for dining. Basic cable TV, gas barbecue, carport. Private and quiet. Full bed.<br /> <b>Anini Kama'aina:</b> This simple and very comfortable vintage Hawaiian home is located on three-quarters of an acre of oceanfront property near the end of Anini Road, and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There's not another property like it! Only two homes beyond this one. Very few cars venture to this beautiful protected sandy beach on Hawaii's longest reef. If simplicity and serenity are your goal, you've found the ideal spot. Many vacationers return year after year to enjoy this oft revisited vacation rental. Sleeps six. Queen, 2 twins, and full bed in the living area.<br /> Renown for it's fishing and snorkeling, the water on one side of the beach is only four feet deep and slowly cascades to over a 100-foot depth on the other side. This beach is one of the safest and most protected along the North Shore of the island. A fringed reef runs the entire length of beach and is Hawaii's longest reef.
