This charming hill top house is just East of Govone, a medieval borough in Roero. Situated in a strategic position over the Tanaro valley, halfway between Asti and Alba, the village is famous for its castle, where in 1730 Jean-Jacques Rousseau resided for a time, and for a fine flower festival in spring. The surrounding landscape is mostly covered with vineyards, fruit trees and small woods, and offers pleasant itineraries into the countryside.
This 90 sq.m. apartment has a large, fully furnished kitchen, a spacious living room, two master bedrooms and a large terrace. The backyard is very big ( 800 sq.m.) and very private. It features a BBQ, lots of grown-up trees where to hang hammocks, and a large vegetable garden where you can pick what's ripe and available. It features a wireless internet connections.
A closeby church keeps you up-to-dated 24 hours a day .
A few chickens might even be willing to share some of their eggs with you.
Shopping can be done in nearby Govone, Priocca, or, better in Canale

Area Description: Langhe and Roero are renowned for their wines, their truffles, and their gourmet cuisine. Things you do here are different from things you do elsewhere in Italy. First of all here you can feast on gourmet food and wine as nowhere else in Italy: you’ll never eat the same thing, mouth watering thing, 30 days in a row, nor drink the same wine, being it red, white or rosé. Then you can always get rid of your extra pounds by jogging, trekking, hiking, bicycling (road and mountain), swimming, horse riding, reading, or sun-bathing, truffle hunting (in season) as well as mushroom hunting (also in season). You only have to pick and choose: enjoy your stay!
