A rental villa in Ecuador that surpasses the expectations of the most discerning guests. Surrounded by magnificent mountains and two rivers, the city of Loja is considered the Music Capital of Ecuador. Villa Serena is a sophisticated and elegant Spanish Colonial home, carefully restored with special attention to detail. The sleek interiors and refined furnishings create a stylish design and atmosphere. Villa Serena has now regained its soul and opened its doors to guests in the spring of 2009. This is the perfect place to relax and indulge yourself while discovering the beauty of southern Ecuador. Villa Serena is proud to be the only rental property of its caliber in the south of Ecuador.
Villa Serena comprises six bedrooms and suites, all are furnished with flair and originality, and above all else with great attention to detail. Decorating with simplicity and extravagance at the same time are the hallmarks of his creator, mixing rich, luxurious materials with humble, peasant objects. Different tones of brown and black are set against the pure interior white walls.
All rooms have high-tech LCD TVs, DVD players, safes and iPod docking stations to introduce the convenience and comfort of modern living. All of them unobtrusively installed to blend with the unusual pieces of furniture. All this design would mean nothing, of course, if the bedrooms were not comfortable. To this end we have ensured that all beds are either king or queen size and in all cases, are fitted with comfortable mattresses. All the pillows and comforters are dressed in delicate, high thread cotton sheets. The end result is, we hope, the ultimate haven for rest, relaxation and peace.
Villa Serena can comfortably accommodate twelve guests (five couples and two singles). There are three additional daybeds available for children or single guests. Four of the suites have separate seating areas. All rooms have very generous closet space and plenty of natural light.
Each bathroom is utterly unique and in every instance, we have tried to preserve beauty without sacrificing functionality.
In some of the bathrooms we have provided both a Jacuzzi bathtub and a shower, while in others, large showers (big enough for two). Most bathrooms have double sinks and granite countertops. Furthermore, we have ensured that every bathroom is provided with a hairdryer and bathroom products infused with natural herbs and flowers. For the final touch of comfort, there are piles of fluffy soft towels and bath robes to luxuriate in after stepping out of an invigorating shower or a relaxing bath.
The stylish design of Villa Serena is complemented by state-of-the-art amenities including a magnificent courtyard with a fountain and wide corridors with social spaces and plenty of plants and flowers.
For guests who enjoy cooking, there is a top-of-the-line kitchen with every appliance needed to make your stay a real gourmet experience. Besides its custom made cabinetry and elegant design, the kitchen is equipped with a wine cooler, side by side refrigerator, beverage cooler, dishwasher, two standard ovens, a microwave and an ice maker. A fireplace is the central point of attraction at the breakfast room just next to the kitchen.
Villa Serena has a formal dining room with a table for eight. An additional table with seating for eight more can be easily set in the corridor right next to the dining area.
Most guests prefer to socialize around the central patio listening to the soothing sounds of the water from the fountain but for those who prefer a more formal setting, there is a spacious and elegant living room.
The library provides guests with hundreds of carefully selected books in English and Spanish as well as movies, music and a high speed internet connection.
When not exploring the natural beauty and tourist attractions around Loja, guests can relax at the Villa’s private terrace. With its own bar and comfortable outdoor and indoor seating areas, it is hard to resist just staying home and enjoying Villa Serena.
Finally, a laundry room equipped with washer and dryer complements the amenities at the Villa. Guests who rent or choose to drive their own vehicles can make use of the Villa’s three-car garage.

Area Description: The city of Loja is located in the south of Ecuador at 2100 meters above sea level in the Cuxibamba valley and enjoys a temperate spring-like climate all year long. Temperatures fluctuate between 16° C (60° F) and 21° C (70° F), with an average daily temperature of 17° C (63° F).
TRAVELING TO LOJA, ECUADOR
Getting to Loja is easy and convenient. TAME the domestic airline of Ecuador provides three daily flights from Quito. The flight time is only 50 minutes. From Guayaquil there are three flights per week and it takes 35 minutes. Villa Serena will assist guests with airport pick up transportation upon arrival.

Rental Rates for this Vacation Rental Property
Holidays rates are $3,500 per week. Please contact owner at info@ecuadorvilla.com for specific dates.
Rental rates include taxes. A refundable security deposit of $2,000 is also required.
Villa Serena has a firm non-smoking policy; smoking is only allowed in the external public areas.
The Villa can provide optional staff such as a cook, baby sitter or a driver at additional cost. We will be glad to assist guests with car reservations and any other help needed. Daily maid service is available at an additional cost. Otherwise, this service is provided twice a week.
The Villa staff can buy food and drinks before arrival upon receiving a request list from guests ahead of time. There is no extra charge for this service.
A minimum stay of one week is usually requested, although exceptions can be made.
A deposit of 50% should me made at the time of the reservation. The remaining balance should be paid 60 days prior to arrival.
Payment should be made by electronic bank wire. Credit cards are not accepted at this time.
