Just off Hwy 101, a 10 minute walk through our neighborhood takes you to the Winchuck River and a local public access path gets you onto the beach ... tides, driftwood and river height permitting.<br /> <br /> Brookings is a small relaxed coastal town with a harbor and miles of uncrowded scenic beaches for beach walking, tide pooling and kite flying. Our harbor offers ocean fishing trips and the Siskiyou forest, only a few miles away, provides plenty of mountain biking and hiking.<br /> <br /> We are a great place to stay for family reunions, group retreats and extended family vacations, since we can sleep up to 12 people in the Lodge and 4 more in our Annex next door. The Moosehead Lodge is also a great place to come for family fishing trips -- the Winchuck, Chetco, and Smith Rivers are all within 5 miles of our door.<br /> <br /> After a day walking on Winchuck Beach, hiking in the local Siskiyou mountains or biking around Brookings Harbor -- come and relax, BBQ the catch of the day in the backyard and enjoy an evening picnic under the stars.
