The ultimate beach vacation begins at Kelly's Beach Retreat in Ocean Sands, Corolla, NC, where you and your whole group can settle into a luxurious beach house offered by owner, and enjoy all the Outer Banks North Carolina has to offer. Ocean views abound as we are located just steps from the beach, 130 yards to be exact. Our beach house has five bedrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, a large 40 foot sunning deck, outside shower, parking for 4+ cars and a screened porch. Between strolling the beach, relaxing at your private beach house, or soaking up the sun while overlooking the Atlantic, you?ll never want to leave!The wide, sandy beaches in Corolla are perfect for strolling, shell-collecting, kite flying and sunbathing. The pace in Corolla is perfect for relaxing. Rent bikes or kayaks to explore the Outer Banks area from the Currituck Sound and back to the Atlantic Ocean, or join a tour to get deeper into the wilderness. The world-class golf at the Currituck Club is minutes away, and we are close to putt putt golf, tennis, the movies and go-carts for family fun.
Restaurant and shops are nearby. Corolla?s abundant shopping is casual and fun, with a great array of unique, locally-owned shops. Browse clothing, jewelry, gifts, T-shirts, kites, and grab a coffee or snack along the way. Food and beach essentials are easy to pick up nearby, so you?ll be well prepared to kick back and relax.

Area Description: Visit the Corolla Light House and enjoy the spectacular views of the barrier island. Just a few miles to the North, is the Corolla Light House and the Historic Hunting Lodge of the Whalehead Club where you can listen to concerts on the lawn or crab off the canal. A new nature museum just opened near the Corolla Lighthouse. Ride your SUV on the undeveloped beaches to the north or book a 4-wheel excursion to see the wild horses and Kayak on the sound. Wind surfing, parasailing and jet ski rentals are available as well as pubs and music. Right before the light house is a movie theater, shopping, putt putt, go carts and restaurants. A hour or two South is the North Carolina Aquarium, the Elizabethen Gardens, the Lost Colony of Roanoke, Jockey's Ridge dune, Oregon inlet and the Wright Brother's Memorial. At Jockey's ridge you can fly a kite or even hang glide. At Oregon inlet you cann charter a boat to catch Striped Bass, marlin and tuna. There is something for everyone!

Just got back from Corolla and our stay at Kelly's Beach Retreat. This was our first time to the Outer Banks and it could not have been better. Property is great - clean and well-appointed. Very short walk to the beach, very quiet neighborhood, close to shops and restaurants. We are planning to go again next year! Pat - Dec 2, 2008 |
