Ideal spot for exploring the town on foot but also an excellent starting point for discovering the finest locations of the Amalfi coast: Ravello, Amalfi, Praiano and Furore. Positano is a small pearl set in a mountain, located at the beginning of the Amalfi coast. The town offers various beaches, the most important beach is the so-called Grande Beach, to which stands behind the famous Church of Santa Maria of Assunta. The beach is lined with restaurants, bars and establishments. A little farther down the road there are three more beaches, much less crowded; the beach of Fornillo, the beaches of Arienzo and Laurito, comfortably reachable by boat service. Not to be missed is also the myriad of boutiques, where you can buy clothes and Sandals made by hand, to bring back a piece of the now fashion-famous Positano.
