Our cabin offers the best of both worlds...you can be totally isolated from the 'outside world's' hustle & bustle or you can get totally involved if you choose. There are music festivals, operas, downhome country fairs, farm roadside markets, quaint shops and a wealth of other avenues to explore. Our village was settled in 1712 and offers abundant history of the Revolution of our great nation. On the northern edge of the Catskill Mountains in New York's Leatherstocking Region, we are only two and a half hours from New York City, forty-five minutes from Albany, an hour from Cooperstown and just a short drive from many attractions to interest all visitors.
Places to Swim and horseback ride in the Area: There is a water slide park - The Zoom Flume - 20 minutes from the cabin in East Durham and Thacher Park is 20 minutes away toward Albany and Minekill State Park has a wonderful swimming area - 20 minutes away in North Blenheim. There is fishing at the many State ponds nearby - Partridge Run Wildlife Management Unit - a wonderful place to fish and picnic - only 15 miinutes from the cabin. There is horseback riding only 45 minutes away in Hobart, NY.

Places to Ski: There are opportunities to Ski at Windam Mountain just 30 miles from the cabin and Hunter Mountain is only 39 miles from here. Both areas are wonderful for skiing.

Places to Hike in the Area: We have 500 scenic and private wonderful acres to explore and many trails to hike on in addition to a trail down in the Village of Middleburgh known as Vroman's Nose, a short hike for the entire family ending in a spectacular view of the Middleburgh Valley.

Golf: There is a lovely golf course in Cobleskill, only 11 miles from the cabin and another one in Greenville, just a 30 minute drive from us. There is a wonderful miniature golf course and go-cart racing at Gobbler's Knob just 15 minutes away

Other Activities: cave exploring, historic museums, quaint shops, miniature golf, go-kart racing
