Area Description: The listed house is on La Digue, the smallest of Seychelles' major islands. Here you share the roads not with cars, but with cyclists and traditional Ox carts! La Digue is also home to some of the most reknown artisans in the Indian Ocean many of whom have a walk-in studio and gallery. Even more exiting is the location relative to the beach: Anse Severe is right across the road! And most days there will be no one else using it. Anse Severe is 800 meters of horse shoe white sand that's so inviting you may never see the rest of the island! But don't forget that several of the world's top 10 beaches are on La Digue, including Grand Anse and Anse Source D'Argent!

The main island, Mahe, has a wonderful History Museum and Botanical Gardens, while Praslin boasts the largest and last inland Palm Forest in the world. It's a World Heritage Site and that exclusive home to the awesome Coco De Mer, the world's only double lobed coconut. La Digue features an historical park where you can see how vanilla and coconut oil are still ground today using traditional methods. Art galleries everywhere feature local artists work which is available for sale. Each island hosts hundreds of white sands beaches each vastly different from the last. Spend several days island hopping and see how even the local culture is varied on each island.
