Lake Hamilton, Ouachita and Catherine all offer good year-round fishing. Lake Hamilton is home to the Lake Hamilton Fishery which breed 3 million fingerlings annually. The range of fish includes scrappy redear, green and longear sunfish; black, spotted, white and smallmouth basses; black and white crappie; flathead, blue, channel, and bullhead catfish; walleye and chain pickerel. Rainbow trout are also stocked in both Lake Hamilton and Catherine. Bass fishing in Hamilton and Ouachita is popular in the summer, while forage fish and bass is popular in the winter on Lake Catherine.
Horseracing
The Oaklawn Jockey Club race season runs from mid-January through mid-April each year. The lake house is located conveniently down Central Ave. for easy access to the races.
Bike Riding
There are numerous bike routes nearby located in Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs National Park.
Water Sports
You can rent party barges, jet skis and and boats at Kahuna Bay less than a mile away on Central Ave.
Health Clubs / Workout Facilities
The Hot Springs Health & Fitness Club is located just around the corner (2 minutes walk from the house). Voted one of the top three health clubs in Arkansas, Hot Springs Health & Fitness' 60,000-square-foot facility features one of the largest weight and cardio areas in the state.
