This property is also 6 blocks from Calistoga road, which will take you on a scenic drive over the mountain to Calistoga and the upper end of the Napa Valley. This comfortable home has all the amenities to make your stay a wonderful, relaxing and refreshing experience. Located in a quiet neighborhood on the eastern edge of Santa Rosa the house has been designed to let people have a shared experience while maintaining space for everyone. The house has vaulted ceilings with large windows in the living room and family room, that afford views of the spacious yard and surrounding hillside, a multi-leveled yard with private patios, and a pool, which is heated by a solar blanket in the spring, summer and fall. By the pool is a deck which invites you to enjoy a glass of wine or relax with a good book. At the upper end of the yard there is a meditation patio. The lower yard has a covered patio with a gas BBQ, a patio table and a small lawn area with vegetable and flowerbeds.
The entry hall looks out onto the yard and provides your first view of the inviting pool area. Bedrooms are located with privacy in mind to the left of the entry up a set of stairs. The master bedroom with a queen bed also has a walkway deck for viewing the surrounding hillsides and the sliding glass door provides a beautiful view of the morning sunrise. This bedroom also has a walk-in closet. The master bathroom has a stall shower and a sink area that is separate from the shower and toilet. The back bedroom has a queen bed and a wonderful large deck with a sun canopy. It overlooks the pool area and upper patio. The third bedroom has a full size bed and is located adjacent to a bathroom. This bathroom has a tub/shower and ample sink and counter area.
The lower part of the house is set up for entertaining with an ample living room complete with a wood-burning stove for ambience and heat. There is also a family room with a built-in bar and small table, flat screen TV, DVD player and video player and a collection of CDs, videos and music for your enjoyment. The lower area also includes the newly remodeled, fully equipped kitchen and adjacent dinning room, which comfortably seats ten guests. A laundry room and half bath complete the downstairs area.
If cooking and eating in isn’t your vacation choice, you may choose from a wide variety of wonderful restaurants in the surrounding area. If you are looking for exercise there are many hiking and biking areas, such as Spring Lake, Annadel State Park, Mt. Hood Regional Park, Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and Jack London Historic Park. If you like to golf there are several golf courses in the area with Oakmont being the closest green. There are public tennis courts 5 minutes away in Howarth Park. There is a guest book featuring recommended area restaurants and local sights and activities.
Montgomery Village is a 5 minute drive where the shoppers will find boutique shops, Coldwater Creek Spa and store, salons, fine dining as well as a major chain grocery store, post office and several banks for your convenience. The downtown area in only minutes away where you will find major department stores as well as many small shops.
This home provides easy access to all of Sonoma County’s wineries, including wineries in Healdsburg’s downtown and the adjacent Dry Creek areas, the Alexander Valley, the Russian River and other world-class wineries in Sonoma’s Valley of the Moon. Napa Valley wineries are only 40 minutes away.
This vacation rental is equipped with high speed Internet Wi-Fi access. There are ample books available for you to read. A flat screen television, DVD, video player and CD system are also available.
