Vacation on the Vineyard in 2010 <br /><br />Consider the Vineyard this summer. We have a cute, well maintained home on the Island. Located in Edgartown, bordering the state forest for absolute privacy, our home sleeps 6 with comfort and privacy. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms ( one bedroom has a queen bed the other two twins); a fully equipped kitchen, a full bath and living room. The living room has a sofa and love seat, as well as two chairs. The cable-ready television has a vcr/dvd player. Our second floor is the lower level. Completely renovated with a full bath/shower, bedroom with two twin beds and a family room ( also with a cable-ready television) and board games to keep the kids occupied.<br /> Our deck enclosed with a permanent awning, clear sides and table that seats 8 comfortably. This is a great area to hang out and have meals; or just plan relax. The deck has mood lighting so playing cards or just talking late into the night is a joy. When the weather is hot, the deck is a cool place to pass the time. If it rains, there is no place better on a summer day but on the deck.<br /> We supply all your linens, including sheets, towels, blankets, etc. For the beach we have beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella and a beach cooler (on wheels) for you drinks.<br /> While we aren't beach front, it is but a short drive to Oak Bluffs (State Beach) for the calm waters of Nantucket Sound. For your hearty souls, South Beach is the same distance in the other direction. The waves at South Beach are magnificent. This Island about 7 miles off the Massachusetts coast, is just plain beautiful. The three major towns are about three miles from the house, so easy to get to. Each town has its own personality. Oak Bluffs is "speak-easy friendly" with many bars and restaurants. Plenty of night life. Edgartown is an "old whaling town", a little more staid and conservative. Beautiful homes, a bustling downtown and waterfront. Edgartown is noted for "many" very fine white linen restaurants and bed-breakfasts. Vineyard Haven is the main commerical town on the Island. Up Island is primarily agricultural, with farms that grow food and ranchs that raise live stock. Area Description: Martha's Vineyard is a special place.
