However, just 25 minutes east of Puerto Plata international airport is the north coast's best kept secret: The international village of Cabarete ? the adventure and fun capital of the Caribbean. Unlike the "prisons"; of the all inclusive resorts in Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, La Romana, Playa Dorada etc. Cabarete Bay has recently become known as the Caribbean's free spirit vacation destination where there is indeed something for everyone from all parts of the world.
