Villa Olivia, Directly on the Beach <br /><br />Villa Olivia is a deluxe two story vacation home located on the pristine sandy beach of Playa Grande. The mediterranean architecture of the beach house emphasizes an open air design with rooms uniquely opening into the privacy of an inner courtyard. Large wrap-around verandas offer spectacular views of the ocean and the sunsets. Furnishings and decor are colorful, contemporary and comfortable, with many custom-made from fine local hardwoods.<br /> <br /> The main beach house consists of 4 air-conditioned bedrooms with a private bathroom, ceiling fans and safety box. Two rooms each have a queen bed and the other two rooms each have two twin beds. The attached studio has a queen and double bed, offering a private bath, a/c, ceiling fan, safety box, and equipped with a kitchen. It features a spacious countryside deck with a rancho and wet bar.<br /> <br /> Marianela, our bilingual caretaker is onsite daily, we provide nightly evening security and maid service twice a week. Marianela, will be happy to arrange for you a private cook, spa services, babysitter, and set-up excursions and activities.<br /> <br /> You will find Villa Olivia offers a perfect and uncomplicated oceanfront vacation for your family, a reunion, and group getaways. With our other villa Casa Mirage, located next door, we can accommodate up to 27 guests.<br /> <br /> Playa Grande stretches over two miles along the magnificent northwest pacific coastline, 30 min. north of Playa Tamarindo and 30 min. south of Playa Flamingo. Villa Olivia sits on the northern end of Playa Grande near the big rock. This is a secluded and undeveloped beach community of only a dozen oceanfront vacation/retirement homes and one oceanfront hotel with restaurant, the Las Tortugas. Inland there are 4 small hotel/restaurants, 2 restaurants, a pulperia, and surf shop. Two markets are only 5 minutes away by car, a pharmacy and emergency clinic are 20 minutes away. As of July 2006 the road has been paved from the village of Matapalo to the beach house.
