GUEST REVIEWS:
Fiona stayed 3 May 2010 - Excellent value for money compared to many other villas in Turkey with everything we required for a home from home holiday. We would certainly love to come back to Dalaman and Villa Spice and will also recommend to others. Thank you once again for your hospitality.
Lorna stayed 12 Apr 2010 - We have enjoyed our stay in Dalaman at Villa Spice very much. Everyone is very friendly and Martin and Martin were our life savers during our problems with the ash cloud and being stranded with no flight!! We visited lots of interesting places and been to lots of different restaurants, our favourite being the Yosun and Cinar. We loved experiencing the true Turkish way of life here and although it took time for us to unwind from the stress of life back home, by the second week we were as laid back as the local people. Finally to Martin and Martin thank you so much for all your kindness and help.
Farzana stayed 5 Apr 2010 - Our stay at Villa Spice was fantastic, a real gem. Was so glad I booked and it was really enjoyed and appreciated by three generations of our family which can be hard to do! Very spacious, very clean and very comfortable. The villa had all amenities and we did not have to worry about leaving anything at home as all the additionals were at the villa to use. The neighbours were very friendly and hospitable as was Martin and Ali. All the sites were in easy reach and even the briefest of directions got you there safely, without any hiccups. I would definately recommend the villa and the experience and may well be back again soon!
John stayed 29 Mar 2010 - Our feedback on Villa Spice is overwhelmingly positive. It was very good value for money, its quiet location suited us and the simple no-nonsense feel of Dalaman made it a very real experience. We greatly appreciated the personal guided tour on Day 1 and well spread the word about what a good time we had - thank you.
Vijay stayed 15 Mar 2010 - We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Spice, it was our second visit and we found everything to be perfect for my family of 8. I will recommend Villa Spice to anyone wanting a relaxing and peaceful holiday and the customer service provided locally is friendly and efficient. Thank you.
Sandeep stayed 19 Oct 09 - We had a great time, loved the place. Thank you.
Vijay stayed 29 Sep 09 - We loved our 2 weeks in Villa Spice, especially the new penthouse suite. Dalaman is a traditional place and still has a lot of Turkish traditions unlike many other towns which have become very touristy. A car is a must to truly see Turkey we visited Sarigerme Beach for a clean unpopulated beach. Also take a drive around Fethiye and Kayakoy to see ruins and a view you’ll never see again. Akakaya just north of Marmaris is worth a visit, you’ll see mountain springs running to the river which is crystal clear. You can get a 3 lira boat ride and see turtles and large fish. We found Dalaman the perfect hub to visit small towns and explore. Dalaman offers a Thursday market well worth a visit, you’ll never see so much fresh healthy fruit and veg. Dalaman has a lot of hidden secrets to explore, just take a stroll through the main high street. The hosts are very helpful and made us feel welcome straight off. I think it was a lovely touch of them to show us around Dalaman. The neighbours are all friendly and helpful. As for food we went to Nar and wasn’t disappointed it lives up to its reputation. Akkaya Garden Restaurant is worth a visit mainly for the scenery and drive. But for us, it was the natural food in the markets and unspoilt way of life. We highly recommend Villa Spice and are planning our next visit already. Thank you from Vijay, Jayna and Tanisha.
Gemma stayed 30 Aug 09 - We stayed in Villa Spice for one week in September and we loved it. We have been back from Dalaman now for a week and we still have not got over our holiday blues! We were looking for something different, somewhere untouched by tourists, somewhere where we could totally relax and enjoy peaceful surroundings. Villa Spice was certainly the place. We had no expectations of what it would be like, we just went with a good gut feeling after we had excellent corrospondance from the Villa managers. We were more than happy when we arrived and settled in very quickly. We found the Villa itself to be very comfortable and had everything we needed. We just wish we had brought more people as there was so much space! The pool was great. I dont know what I would have done without it as we had quite a few hot days. There were so many great things about the Villa. We loved where it was. Very quiet and peaceful with beautiful surroundings. We had great neighbours too, very friendly. I would definitely recommend hiring a car, makes it that wee bit easier for getting to see the surrounding areas and going to the beach. Overall a fantastic holiday, one which we will never forget. We would definitely recommend this Villa if you are looking to escape. We will most certainly be coming back.
Jane stayed 17 Aug 09 - We had a brilliant time here! We used Villa Spice as a base to explore the surrounding areas. Sarsala Beach is a must, go for the views through the mountains, crystal clear bay. We love Sigla Beach located between Gocek and Fethiye hidden away beach, best sunbeds, perfect sand and beautiful sea. Definately do the Dalyan boat trip and 12 Island Tour. Thanks for your guidance its outstanding! Villa Spice is ideally located for a family holiday. We would highly recommend a visit.
Shahbaz stayed 9 Aug 09 – We stayed for 7 nights at Villa Spice. The villa was fully equipped with everything that we needed and was a great base to explore from. We had a great time in and around Dalaman and did loads of activities including paragliding, hired a private boat for the day, water sports and enjoyed the nearby beaches. The pool is located right next to the large covered terrace – perfect to take a break from the hot Turkish sun. The pool was great and kept clean throughout our stay. The local hosts couldn’t do enough to help. On the 1st day they took us around Dalaman providing advice and showing us places to visit; and good local restaurants – food, value and hospitality were excellent! This was really helpful – Thank You. This is the real rural Turkey. What really made the holiday were the local people, they are really warm and friendly, worth visiting the Mosque in town to get to know the locals and the area. It’s a 5 minute drive to the centre of Dalaman where you can do the shopping, eat out at night or buy some ice cream! We’ve had a fantastic week in Turkey and will definitely come back. We recommend a visit to Dalaman and Villa Spice.
Stephen stayed 29 Jul 09 - We had a wonderful week in a clean, well presented home from home. The local restaurants are very welcoming and helpful with free transport to and from. We would not hesitate in recommending this villa.
Karen stayed 22 Jul 09 - We booked last minute and were delighted with Villa Spice. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. We wanted a more rural, natural Turkiye, away from the more touristy resorts. Dalaman gave us just that, however we did our usual boat trips, hamams and market shopping as well because all were easy to access from Villa Spice’s location. The close proximity to the airport was a big bonus, no long transfers, but no real aircraft noise to speak off, certainly wasn’t a distraction to all the fun we had in the Villa pool. We had teenagers and younger children in our group and they all loved Villa Spice. All so impressed ...that we have just booked again for next year,... two weeks this time!! We give Villa Spice a rating of Excellent.

Area Description: Dalaman is an area of breathtaking natural beauty located between the sea and mountains, with fragrant orange groves, lovely unspoilt beaches and fascinating ancient sites. The ideal base to explore from or just relax in the rural setting.
Dalaman is rapidly becoming an area of destination rather than just a stop over on the way to some other resort town. Over - development and exploitation of the area is stopped by the protection afforded to the rare loggerhead turtles that frequent the river and beach. This should ensure that Dalaman continues to develop in harmony with its surrounding environment and retain its natural beauty.

AKKAYA GARDEN RESTAURANT - one of the best restaurants in the Mediterranean Region it gets its name from the valley where it is located. There are plenty of places to dine in the garden with secluded seating areas or in a stork’s nest. The nests are positioned in the trees and can sit 4-8 people. The restaurant is located deep in the valley amongst the pine trees. It is set amongst waterfalls, ponds, wildlife and beautiful trees and flowers. The food is second to none with an excellent selection of both Turkish and European cuisine.
NAR RESTAURANT - attracting locals and tourists alike, Alfresco dining in the town centre. Wonderful Turkish and International cuisine and specialist coffees makes this a popular venue.
BEACHES, RELAXATION, ADVENTURE AND HISTORY
DALAMAN BEACH: is totally unspoilt, an ideal spot for relaxing, a walk, a family BBQ or watching the sun go down. Just 10 minutes from the Villa.
THERME MARIS SPA: you can buy a day pass to use some great facilities including massage, fitness centre, beauty centre (skin care centre, aromatic bathtub, solarium, peeling, hamam, sauna, pressotherapy, starvac, thermo failure), 3 different outdoor pools with thermal natural water, indoor pool, jacuzzi and mud bath. You can see and feed the endangered Loggerhead Turtles. Located immediately behind Dalaman Beach.
SARIGERME BEACH: with 4 miles of golden sand, shallow sea and the island of Babaada not too far in the distance, is a great day out for all the family. A short walk along the wooded footpath with its turkeys, chickens and peacocks running free, brings you out onto the exceptionally clean beach. Facilities include food and drink outlets, water sports, showers, toilets, beach chairs, umbrellas and dressing cabins are all available. There is a small charge at the entrance, (less than 50p), which goes towards the upkeep and services for the beach. A 20 minute drive from the Villa.
SARSALA BEACH: is a lovely family beach set in a small bay with a restaurant, changing rooms, shower and W.C. The beach is 6 miles from Dalaman. There are daily "12 island" boat trips available from the small pier prices from 15 Turkish Lira per person and includes a BBQ lunch. A 20 minute drive from the Villa.
IZTUZU BEACH: Visit one of the most beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean coastline. This sand bar that separates the sea from the mouth of the Dalyan Creek is an excellent swimming beach. Situated 30 minutes from Dalaman, Iztuzu Beach has also been preserved, as it is one of the last nesting grounds for the endangered Loggerhead Turtles.
SAKLIKENT GORGE: the ideal place to visit if you are feeling especially hot. The gorge is 18km long and so steep and narrow that the sun does not penetrate, so the water is icy cold. The gorge is approached along a wooden boardwalk above the river and opens out to a series of wooden platforms suspended above the water, where you can buy and eat trout at one of the specialist restaurants. For more information visit: www.saklikentgorge.net
GOCEK: Often referred to as the St.Tropez of Turkey, with its exclusive yachting marina and unspoilt beaches, Gocek has emerged as one of the countries most affluent areas to live in Turkey. Take the 12 Island Boat Excursion great day out for all the family. The market takes place on a Sunday, ideal place to buy leather goods, local crafts don’t forget to haggle!
DALYAN: Only 20 minutes drive to the west from the Villa, you will find Dalyan, a small but exquisite fishing town, which lies next to a meandering river, teaming with wild life. After spending your time browsing the typically diverse Turkish market stalls, why not relax and take a look at the Lycian tombs, carved into the rock face, from the comfort of one of the many romantically set restaurants lining the Dalyan riverside. It only takes you a few minutes from the centre of town to stroll through to the Old Dalyan of gardens and willow trees, to flavour days gone by.
KAUNOS: Visit the ancient ruins of Kaunos, situated approximately 10km from Dalyan, and 40 minutes from the villa. Amongst the ruins of the city, you will find an old theatre, a large rectangular building that was probably a temple, others of uncertain description, a Byzantine church, and very curious rock-hewn tombs.
SULTANIYE HOT SPRINGS & MUD BATHS: Situated just before Dalyan Creek joins the lake, you can give yourself a body pack of mud and then wash it all off again in a sulphur pool with temperatures as hot as in the Sultaniye Baths.
EPHESUS: ( EFES ) Why not explore the well preserved marble ruins of the ancient capital of Roman Asia, with its 25,000-seat Great Theatre. One of Turkeys most visited tourist sites; Ephesus was once the home to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Situated on the West Coast, Ephesus is a good 3-4 hour drive from the Villa.
